Summary:
A new in-vitro test-system to measure the degree of hemolysis caused hy blood-pumps, was developed and tested with a roller-(sarns) and
2 centrifugale pumps (Biomedicus and Medtronic).
The roller-pump causes a 10 times higher hemolysis than the centrifugale-pumps.
Our system can also be used to test other HLM components.
